Knowledge Management Practices in the Public University Libraries: Librarian's Perspective

Some libraries play an essential role in teaching and learning but there are some constraints. It causes universities to be able identify various factors overcome the challenges of implementing KM libraries. This study aims explore current Knowledge Management (KM) practices Public University Libraries (PUL). type research is qualitative. The methods used collecting qualitative data observation, interviews, questionnaires. instrument interview sheet. sample this 11 people using purposive sampling. collected were analyzed content analysis. findings reveal no formal program any selected universities. found that a prudent strategy for implementation, recruiting skilled personnel, ongoing training programs staff users, leadership, ICT infrastructure, higher authority decisions, budgets, lack qualified personnel critical success implementation PUL. identified many PUL usually faces their efforts implement KM: budget, user awareness, trained staff, outdated technology.
